Darn horses. They always find the muddiest possible spot to roll in, too. He does look awfully cute, though, and all the various bits of tack and accessories do look pretty cute on him. Don't be too hard on the poor, silly boy.

You are not kidding that's exactly what a feral horse would do just after a bath. I had to keep my horse Butterscotch tied up until long after he was dry and brushed down or he would lay down and go for a roll in the dirt. If there was a spot where another horse had pissed or took a dump he would go right after that exact spot.

At least him rolling after a bath could be prevented. What could not be prevented was every time I would lift his hind hoof for cleaning I would have no choice but to have my face really close to his butt and he would lay a gas bomb right on me. I would swear that he thought it was as funny as all hell. I learned to hold my breath when I lifted the first hind hoof for cleaning. Since he let loose with the gas bomb when I had lifted the first hoof he had nothing left for when I lifted the second hoof for cleaning and I would not have to hold my breath.

anyway get some couple yards of fine sand to roll in or just use that wire brush on his back to get all those itchy spots.
