why does this remind me of sweettooth from twisted metal? i mean it has only 3 wheels, it shouldn't remind me of that. yet it does, how strange....

It's built sort of like a Daihitsu MIDJET. It's basically a micro farmer's truck with three wheels like the Westcoaster.

was working on it but back when my dad was alive he sold all the vehicls on his proporty that where not running and that encluded my westcoaster and my 1961 and 1963 datsun pickups and me sisters volvo

metermaids used them here in washington in the 60,s as did the post office the collages and the phone company as soon as we get caught up money wise i have a relative who has a friend who collects them i want to try getting another one to replace the one i lost

I loved it even though I had to wear ear protection when I drove it. Somewhere there should be some pictures of it around.

when the one i had was running i found they are loud but then mine didn,t have the muffler and it was fast too topped out at 50mph

They had a two cylinder Onan engine that was right under the seat so they put some kind of noise deadening material around the compartment. Still, it was noisy and the heat from the engine made it uncomfortable. There is a govenor on the engine, so unless it was removed the top end was about 38 (at least on mine) The one I had did have one difference from yours. There was a gasoline heater on the front of the cart for cold weather.
