A picture featuring two of my characters Mayflower and Niles in a story that set in the distant future.
Niles is a Jewish mouse from an area that is analogous to Russia, while Mayflower is a Muslim Cat from Kharnak, a region that is similar to the middle east. They were both young adults went they first met each other, on a mission that brought together a band of travelers, warriors and heroes on a quest to confront and defeat an ancient evil that threatened not only their world but beyond to the galaxy as well.
Despite their cultural differences and upbringing, Niles and Mayflower recognized the strength, conviction and essentially the inherent good in each other. Niles who was often contemplative, patient, rational, quiet with an aptitude to seek knowledge was rather struck by Mayflower's more brash, confident, outspoken manner, her finesse in battle and her cheerful, sometimes playful manner as well as her serious intent to serve and protect others, a sense of justice that the two of them shared.
Eventually, on their journey they grew to know one another over time, learned more about their backgrounds and values and bonded over what they desired and dreamed to see out of life, over the course of their quest, they soon realized it was only but one chapter in a series of events that would not only shape who they were or where they relationship but would eventually take them on a journey that would change their world forever.
But no matter how unpredictable and tumultuous those changes may be, and no matter what dangers would come their way, one thing would remain true, their love and devotion to each other and their children.
