Okay, so the Easter Show was coming up, and I thought "The only reason I ever go there is to each Churros and Pluto Pups.." And when I arrived at work we got talking about it, and I made the spontaneous decision to make us all some Churros! =3
So!
Ingredients:
Vegetable Oil
1 cup water
125 Grams of butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup ground cinnamon
Directions:
To make churro dough; heat the water, butter and salt to a boil in a saucepan; stir in the flour. Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball, or once it's at least a nice lump of dough =P then remove it from the heat. Beat the eggs until the yolk and whites are clearly mixed. Slowly add the eggs to the saucepan while stirring mixture.
Spoon the mixture into cake decorators' tube with large star tip (Like the kind bakers use to write names on a birthday cake.) Now, this was easy for me, as we have a deep fryer at work... But, if you do not have access to one, you can always cook them in a pan with oil in it. Squeeze 10 Cm strips of dough into hot oil, turning once, about 2 minutes on each side.
Put the Cinnamon and sugar on a tray, and mix it together, spreading it over the tray.
Once cooked, remove from the oil and roll the churro in the sugar and cinnamon mix, then place it on a plate, or just eat it right then and there!
They are sooooo good fresh *Drools* D:
I uploaded more photo's of them on Photobucket, links are as follows:
