Some of you already know this, but I am officially coming out and saying it: I'm a Brony. Have been for a while now (interestingly, at one point in time, my brother-in-law asked me, "You're not a Brony, are you?" I told him no, and you know what? I was being honest, because that was *before* I was a Brony, hahaha). But this is the first time I've drawn fanart of the show. And this may not be the last.
So here we have my ponysona, Pony-Kel (yeah, I know, real imaginative; first "Ferret-Kel" for Redwall, now "Pony-Kel" for MLP). For the longest time I imagined him as just a copy of Dr. Whooves, but I always felt that was kind've lackluster, like I could imagine something more unique. Then I saw the episode "Top Bolt", which featured a stallion named Sky Stinger, and I fell in love with his design. So I took both designs and made Pony-Kel, adding in some 5 o'clock shadow since I'm pretty lazy about shaving. At first I was afraid I wouldn't be able to think up a suitable Cutie Mark for him, though. I ended up just going with a pencil and paper, since that's how I draw (old school ftw, hahaha).
As for P.K.'s backstory/personality, I've considered and re-considered a few things, so I'm currently undecided. The most recent decision I made was to have him be a villain. Not a villain like Nightmare Moon or Tirek, but more like... not sure who to compare him to, actually. As I was drawing this, I ended up imagining P.K. having a personality like Maud Pie, where he speaks in a monotone and rarely gives any expression. Only unlike Maud, who's a force of good, P.K. seems to take enjoyment in the tribulations of others. Only he comes across as too lazy to try and cause any tribulations himself, which means he just sits around and waits for bad things to happen (not that he'll have long to wait, given Equestria's history and all that).
In the meantime, he draws. Maybe he draws what he would like to have happen next... and those drawings just happen to come true? 0_0 Heh heh, eee-yeah...
I've also considered having him be a pyromaniac, but we'll see how things turn out. ;) Mwahahaha!

Thanks, I'm glad he's gotten positive reviews so far (not that he's gotten that many). But yeah, his color scheme is based off Dr. Whooves, only Kel's eyes are brown instead of blue. The 5 o'clock shadow is based off how lazy I get when it comes to shaving. XD But I'm glad you like it. It does make him more unique. :)

Thanks. X) Yep, but I only made him a villain thanks to all the brony analyst vids I've seen. Those vids have the ponysonas behaving like violent lunatics, which I actually find rather amusing, given how most of them are adorable-looking ponies. XD So I decided to just skip any pretenses and have my own ponysona be a rotten person right from the start. Figured I'd get more unique material out of that instead.
But doesn't the show already have villain earth ponies? Daring Do, doesn't she have that one rival gang of earth ponies, most of whom have 5 o'clock shadows themselves? XD

yeah, it does seem like you'd get some more unique material out of that :3
As for the whole earth pony villain thing in the show, I guess I was thinking more along the lines of an actual villain such as the ones from the premiers or finales. To me Dr. Caballeron and his gang aren't really villains, more like troublemakers but that's just my opinion :3
