I just got a new sketchbook (the paper inside is brown! YAY), and am in the process of sketching out the cover. I'll post a scan of it when I finish, but I wanted to preserve it in this stage because I like how it looks now.

On brown paper, you can use a white pencil or gel pen and draw in highlights as well, instead of normally where you're just drawing in the dark areas. If you look up renaissance-period artists like Leonardo or Michelangelo, most of their drawings were done on brown paper. It gives sketches a much fuller appearence.
