therainbowtroll has helped me to create some cuteness despite my inability to physically see itvisual art. It not only has helped me, but also helped her as, right now, she is taking EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS to help with medical bills.
For those who are feeling creative, I ask you to "Describe What You See In This Picture". Give me your thoughts, stories, etc. so I can imagine it as I await when I may be able to physically see it myself.
Initial idea inspired by
nishi who wrote me a short story about duckies that I still can't get out of my head to this day. Perhaps you can get a new, super-short and super-fun story stuck in my head to think on as I heal? :)

Awww, this is so cute! :D They did a great job drawing it - and it looks like it has a transparent background so you can pout it wherever! :3
It's a nice picture of two happy diaper ducks - one it standing up and excited with his wings spread and a leg out, blushing as he's kissed by another blushy ducky boy! He's bein' smooched right on the cheek of his beak. Perhaps this takes place after the story, where the two boys get all diapered up and fresh again after their swim, and are having fun staying close and affectionate together. ;3

Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo! Gentle Flutter-Snugs* I'm so happy that it came out so well. Hearing you add to the story through the piece definitely keeps the magic of that simple, heartfelt tale going strong. :)
Thanks for taking time to see Boom's work on this. The story, and this image, will be my fun theme for my post-hospital portion of my recovery. Truly, finding something good to associate with a rough time makes it so much easier to get through without being all icky-minded. :)

Ooh! Thanks so much for your ideas on what is going on here. It certainly gives my imagination more to enjoy until I, hopefully, can physically see it for myself. :)
No hurries in growing up. Better to be comfy and carefree than grow up and feel restricted by all sorts of bothersome expectations and rules.

You had a duck in Summer School? Ooh! I'm so jealous! :)
The only thing I ever got in Summer School was another trip through Algebra II, or collegiate assignments with ridiculously quick due dates.
I would've been so happy to have a duck.
Is it okay if I ask if it was a class pet? If so, did you get to care for it? Did it help make class more enjoyable?

Ooh! Flycatchers are awesome! My favorites are the ones that sound like they are singing "Phoebe". I actually believe some are called Phoebes. I know we get Eastern Phoebes where I live.
Crows get a really bad rap by people. I'm glad you and your mom could see past the stereotype and discover just how smart they are.
Knowing you got to help a baby hummingbird is amazing! What was it like listening to it hover and hum?
How are the foxes doing? They tend to be hard to find. Do you take any pictures of those animals you aid?

Do you and your mom keep a scrapbook of all the animals you help? Do you have pictures of Ace, the hummingbird, and others who you have aided?
When Ace headed out to the water, did it seem like he knew what to do? Did he try to find other, adult ducks?
Do you do much animal care over the winter?
You know, one could easily see you as a Fluttershy for how kind you are to animals. :)

D'aww! Peep sounds too cute!
I never had much knowledge of Quails. What are they like? Would Peep still find you after you let him go into the wild?
Have any of the birds you've cared for ever returned to your home to start families? That would be so awesome if you saw an animal you aided return to you and your mom as a show of how it felt safe around you guys. :)
Is there a favorite part to your day when you are being a Fluttershy to so many wonderful critters? Do you plan on becoming a Veternarian, if you aren't already one already? :)

Do you have a salt lick for the deer? Do you throw out apples, or feed corn for them? Do you ever get to see the fawns with the does?
Thanks for sharing the Quaile link. I bet it was cute hearing those little peeps from Peep. You just got to love all the cool sounds a bird can make.
Do you and your mom help the deer through the winter? I know they can sometimes struggle due to lack of food to dig up from the snow.
I'm truly impressed at what you do, my friend. It sounds like a truly rewarding way to spend your days. I know I'd be happy doing it. Especially if I got close to local wildlife like you and your mom do. :)

How long have you and your mom been rescuers to our feathered and furry friends? Do you have any other volunteers come over to lend a hand? Do you get any donations to help in the care of local wildlife?
Do you and your mom build bird houses, or do other things to create a welcoming place for any critters that make it around your facility?

I'm sure it is wonderful to see all the bird families that take advantage of your sanctuary. Do you get loads of bird song in the Spring?
Wow! 15 years is admirable in such an effort. Would you say you've gotten good at relaxing the wildlife that comes to you while figuring out what they need to feel their best?

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. How do you feel now that we are officially entering the Holiday Season?Have you ever seen the Disney movie, "The Fox and the Hound"? I think of Todd from that movie when I think of what you're doing for those foxes.
Do you have any birds that stick around your place for the winter? Do you live really close to a forest?
I grew up in a heavily forested region. I loved hearing the Peep Frogs and Crickets in the summer and all the birdies in the Spring. However, it wasn't until much later that we got ducks to show up in the little lake that was about a miles walk from our home.
