When we last left our hero, Rick Rocket had just rescued the beautiful Dark Galaxian slave Ni'wa from the clutches of the Dark Emperor Ral, and escaped the Dark Planet! She now joins our heroes aboard the improved XK-1 Rocketship, with the help of Rick's friends and trusty crew, Doctor X and their robot friend TAM-TAM!

But Rick Rocket and friends do not yet realize that the Dark Emperor Ral has already repaired his powerful Cosmo-Screen and even now watches as they journey to free the slaves on Dark Galaxia IV. Enraged by the theft of his slaves from his own palace, the Dark Emperor Ral has ordered Dark General Do'om to set a trap for our heroes on Dark Galaxia IV!
