I mean, it wouldn't be a problem if there was inspiration. Great artists learn from other great artists.
It wasn't an insult because Mango has always been great. The only reason we say that it looks "inspirational" is because of the facial expressions are similar to Gil's style.

The problem here arises because you've both made the assumption that she's taking inspiration from Gil when she's not. Telling an artist that you've nearly mistaken their work for somebody else's is a pretty cleancut backhand. How Mango draws is more inspired by Disney than anything else, Gil clearly takes the same inspiration.

I think you are blowing things out of proportions. It was merely a compliment.
Pretty much just saying their work is similar and they are both great. You may be her friend, but if Mango found this comment offensive she would confront us about it and an apology would be made. For all we know she might not be offended by our comments. So, I am going to end it here so I don't blow up her Notifs. over a silly argument.
