As mankind moves ever forwards new reseaches and sciences come to light every day but nothing moves faster than technology. Electronic sciences advance in leaps and bounds. Miniscule circuit boards and meshes of wires can do things that ancient men never even dreamed of. Computers have become a part of everyday life for us, they tell us the time, file our tax reports, entertain us, and connect us like we never have been connected before. These words were written using a computer and right now you're on Furaffinity reading these words off a computer. It begs the question, 'how long will it be until artificial intelligence emulates creativity and humans become obsolete?' maybe one day an electronic brain will be created that will replace mankind not only in the dangerous or mundane tasks but also the innovation and originality. Will a computer ever be able to design a new and better computer than itself? Regardless of how smart computers become though, they will never be truly alive. They cannot have emotions or a personality or a soul. Right? What is it that makes man so special and different from a machine. What makes the electrical signals that flow through your brain any different than those that flow through the processor of a computer? We can never understand what it is like to be a computer without becoming a computer. What is life? What is death? What is morality? What is friendship, or love, or survival? For that matter, what is the difference between the consciousness of a human and that of an animal. Does a hungry predator have the choice to not kills it's prey? Can a fish in the sea ever compose a symphony? Will the tiniest insect ever look up at the starts and wonder at it's place in the universe? Does your fellow man? These are questions that we may never have the answer to, but so long as we are all human, the only thing we can manage to do is to keep our humanity.

it's been a while since I've written anything like this but this is what I like to write about most. I love to ask the big and impossible to answer questions like this and while this one might not be very original I still hope you enjoy it.
