yeah; COMP's are portable computers, and range in different styles. Also, it's typically on the left arm (like on my character here and in most of the cast of SMT) as they are right handed. I'm sure there are Left-handed variations, though i haven't seen any to date.
The Gauntlet here is more or less like a Comp (it's similar to the DEMONICA's arm piece from Strange Journey)
