Now, I’ve had the basic idea for this for quite some time. But there are so many topics to bring up, that many things had to be left out. Because of that, there’s a lot here that’s on the cutting room floor, which is why I’ll be adding a few extra bits here in the description.
The comic version you see is a collaborative effort between ThornWolf33 of DA and myself.
Will people get offended by this? Most assuredly. But I’m not going to change what I say because of that. If I did, I’d be falling for the same traps that are attempting to phase out freedom of speech.
It’s a bit of a strange place to reveal it, but what Rune says about Amber is correct, she is a lesbian. The rest of that text bubble refers to a powerful phrase about self-reliance. “Be not deceived, for whatever a man sows, that he shall also reap,” which means that you only get out of life what you put in. No one else is responsible for you. So stop being a victim and stop asking for handouts. Of course today, many people are foolish enough to believe that where a message comes from is just as important as what it means. I wonder how many people would disregard it if they knew where it came from?
Ah, that final panel is essentially my experience with liberals in real life. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the phrase “that’s not politically correct” not followed by “that’s racist/sexist/homophobic/etc.” before. Another response I usually receive is that they just shut down and say “I can’t argue with you anymore,” and try to guilt you into apologizing. Unfortunately for them, reason, logic, truth, and justice don’t apologize. But in the rare case I do hear someone try to argue, they usually take the side of failed ideas like communism and socialism. Or just blame businesses without realizing that the federal government under Obama has created over 20,000 new regulations which stifle economic growth and now cost the American people over $100 billion annually.
I really wanted to have a section about second amendment rights in here as well. But I also wanted to get this out before the main voting day of the election. So I’ll leave another quote by Thomas Jefferson as a little intro to the topic, “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." So what does it mean when your government tries to regulate your second amendment rights?
