Just after waking up it's always a good idea to loosen up those joints with some morning stretches, no matter how big you are~
Obviously i'm really unoriginal when i say that Guilmon is by far my favorite Digi, even though i didn't know much about digimon before i joined FA, seeing all those fatted up Guilmons and other Digis alike really made it grow on me, quite literally x3
So i recently started watching some episodes of the Digimon tamers show and it was quite entertaining, there's this one scene where Guilmon gains weight but i haven't gotten to it yet, but since i thoroughly enjoyed Guilmon's silly personality i just had to draw him once more, with a more human like body shape of course, and a whooole lotta more belly <3
And this is how it turned out! And i'm absolutely sure that even though i spent the entire day on this (about eleven hours total) i'm really proud of it! Definitely one of my stronger pieces, i really wish i could make everything i draw look as good but for every great picture there's a hundred less great ones
Hope you like it, anybody want to help this Guilmon to a hearty breakfast? All you'll need is a bakery's worth of bread~

Greatwork on this, you drew Guilmon really huge and lovely but most of all the atmosphere that surrounds it makes it feel like this Guilmon has one of those lazy days where he just keeps on eating and napping. (Even though it looks like the day is just beginning for him.)
Love the way how the light fades over his belly, it really makes him look more rounder than he already is. The warmth of the light also fits this piece very well.

Hehe, that was just the atmosphere i was going for! Though i'm pretty sure this Guilmon is lazy almost all the time x3
I'm very glad to hear that! Having light come from two sides here wasn't easy to get right, especially since it would leave Guilmon's head in the dark, but i'm pretty happy with how it turned out as well, thanks! ^^

Amazing job! Luke, you made a fantastic job! It's really evident you spend quite a lot of time on this pic. The details are absolutely delightful: perspective is incredibly well achieved (you are becoming an expert in these low angle shots), the pose is so natural and relaxed! I can almost hear the floor creaking underneath such a heavyweight! And the texture of the carpet with the blurry foreground is the cherry that tops it all! I am seriously impressed both by your commitment (not everyone would spend 11 hours on a single pic... I know for a fact I wouldn't) and for your massive improvement on your overall skills as an artist. I look up to you big time! :D

I've been practicing with perspective for the past few months now and it's still incredibly difficult to get right, but when it does work it really brings out the fatness more for sure x3
But seriously though you really made my day, no.. week! To hear that a really amazing artist and not to mention writer looks up to me is something i couldn't have dreamed of <3
