Yes, this is the lullaby from Brave :
A naoidhean bhig, cluinn mo ghuth
Mise ri d' thaobh, Ó mhaighdean bhàn
Ar rìbhinn òg, fàs a's faic
Do thìr, dìleas fhéin
A ghrian a's a ghealach, stiùir sinn
Gu uair ar cliù 's ar glòir
Naoidhean bhig, ar rìbhinn òg
Mhaighdean uasal bhàn
I couldn't wait to go home to scan it, I'm so proud of it and of the poses and expressions, and of baby Mairead, they're soooooooo cuuuuute azertyuiolkjhgf SHE'S SO TINY !!! 83
So I really wanted to draw baby Mairead, to draw Burnevere again, to draw him with one of his kids, to put light effect through sumopaint and to draw a scenery with little details such as a desk or a cradle. So I mashed up all of these together !
So little story I invented behind this : 2 months after Mairead's birth, Burnevere was very busy solving equations and Blaze, who had the baby at the moment, had to leave her to him all of sudden because he was called by Griddle for something. Mairead was sleeping, so Burnevere just kept her in the cradle next to him as he kept doing what he had to do. At some point she woke up, but he didn't notice, so she felt left behind and started to cry, which caught Burnevere's attention and he took her in his arms, hugged her, rocker hed until she calmed down a bit. So he kept it in her arms for a moment, playing a bit with her, and after some time, he started to sing her the Scottish lullaby, that quickly made her fall asleep again.
I just love Sir Burnevere so much, Sir Blaze so much, Fashion Education so much, my OCs so much and parents and children relationship so much, especially fathers-daugthers . As for Burnevere, I headcanon he's 51 in the show and 52 when it ends, and is 56 when Mairead was born (and in this pic too, then) ; I headcanon he never thought he'd ever marry and even less be a father, so when it happened, and when he got a daughter at the age of being a grandfather, he got very touched, and swore to do everything for her happiness and always be here for her (and later for her little brother Iagan 4 years later too)
