Fursuit Friday TRICK OR TREAT!!!
Hey look, even our beloved little fuzzy hobo managed to pull together a Halloween costume for the coming festivities! From the looks of that upper class hat and cane I think he's going for the look of the Head Hobo! Or perhaps a less than successful Broadway star! lol I think after trimming down the eyebrows my new fursuit looks much better. Now all I have to do is shore up a few details, patch some blown threads from my go at the 2016 Megaplex Dance prelims, and fix a rather nasty flaw with the ventilation and I'll be all set!!
# hearing my neighbors cries of confusion next door when I took this was priceless XD "What is that!?"

I know! I was missing you too buddy! I was going to contact you within the last couple of days but I had company over. I hope you've been well and Mitzi is all sorted out! lol I've actually be hitting up your youtube a bit and watching over the class of 1999 stuff. Sorry for going silent, how have you been?
Fine I suppose, had some drama over my job for a few weeks. Seems the managers were being sort of short sighted and gave one of our drivers who had been there shorter then me, had a worse drivers record on the job then me, and other things... a better schedule then anyone else and 3 days off a week on Sat and Sunday. Leaving me with shitty nights all week, one day shift on Saturday, and 2 days off on totally seperate days. I finally got pissed and wrote in an angry letter to the bosses and thankfully they saw the error of their ways and gave me a better schedule plus they're going to have me in for a meeting in a week to discuss how to fix things.
Things have been good with Mitzi, I've been lazy on getting things done with her though. Couldn't even get myself to go out and put new spark plugs in her.. how pathetic.. though it is a cold grey day soo.. I think I got her to stop over heating though. Turns out her heat-riser isn't functioning right. It's a flap valve in her exhaust pipe that's operated by a spring and weight. While closed it keeps most of the exhaust from being able to go out the tailpipe, instead cycling it through the engine to help heat it up when it's cold-starting. As it heats up the spring is supposed to contract and hold the flap open the rest of the time. Mitzi's wasn't and that was causing her engine to overheat. So I just jammed a screw-driver in the thing and wedged it permanently open lol.
I drew that high-def picture of Violet, I was a bit concerned when I never heard anything from you over it. Was starting to wonder if you were depressed or angry or something.
Really? Damn wish I could say that I had a Halloween pic for that movie coming up soon but I don't. But I've been THINKING of drawing something for Class of 1999, with the Teachers and Dr. Forest in it. Been going back and watching clips from the original Terminator. That whole half human half machine look I think is more unsettling then any monster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eDPzq-_hK0
What do you think looks scarier? Torn up robot Arnold? Or Torn up robot Mr. Bryles?

Hey I'm glad you managed to get that sorted out! I wish you well with that meeting! I see that kinda garbage where I work but I have the unique distinction of getting preferential treatment by the boss's wife in there. So long as I don't earn too much money over about 100 bucks a week I stay on their good side.
I'm glad she's been doing well! lol and hey, all you need is a little bit of motivation from your positive buddy here in the sunshine state! I know you can get her all sorted out! You're spotting things out that I as an admitted novice have no idea about ^^' lol though hopefully with my work with Cassandra I'll get a little bit more familiar with all that stuff! XD and I appreciate your unique repairs! Thank you very much for going over this stuff with me and telling me about these parts, seriously I appreciate it!
lol me depressed? Never for very long I assure you! I mustn't have seen it otherwise I'd have happily commented on it! I'll need to correct that a little bit later! >.> though I will admit every day that I don't hear anything back about that title or those keys is a day I get more irritated. I have the dang-gone money to pay him. lol ah well, patience is a virtue eh?
Oh I know! lol weirdly I've been doing a bit of research into the various Terminator models of the Terminator Timeline. I've got a sort of soft spot for the Naive yet deadly T-600s described (not the ones that appear in salvation) And I'll agree with you in that there's something deeply unsettling about that!
OOooooo tough one. I know Bryles freaks me out more because the animation is worse and it gives him a MUCH creepier gate by far. His movements at that point are just SO unnatural and unsettling!! Also unlike the terminator Bryles has a breaking gun for an arm!

Wait wait wait.. two questions. One, are you saying the bosses wife has the hots for you or something? XD Two, are you saying if they give you TOO much money you'll complain? Wtf man?
Well that always helps, I know you're interested in learning car stuff, not sure if enough to learn the whole workings of an engine and all but maybe? If so I'll be happy to teach you everything I know. Honestly I don't know if any engines other then the Ford Y-blocks did that, they have this unique intake manifold with an added center tube that runs through it.. that's where the exhaust is funneled when it's being circulated in the warm up cycle. Right underneath the carburetor, helping the fuel heat and vaporize as it's 'fed' to the engine. Thpugh maybe one 'design flaw' is that the excess heat causes the paint over those tubes chip off. http://www.wrljet.com/fordv8/images/312-intake.jpg
Lucky you, and yeah I think you'll like it.. it's a whole new look for ol' Violet. Oh so Buddy is playing the hard to reach game with you again huh? Wow how infuriating. Remember to let me know when to come down there asap. ;)
Yeah the T-600s were the ones that were supposed to have rubber skin right? I don't know how much I accept whats seen in Salvation since I rarely consider anything past T2 as canon.. but they look like they're just bigger bulkier designs comparable to the T-800. What I'd really like to see is a technical cutaway of a T-800 like the things I draw showing the inside workings and all. It's almost mesmerizing just looking at the hands and arms and seeing how they work, they actually have little mechanical tendons and little tiny hydraulics for all the little finger movements. It's admirable, the design actually looks practical like it would actually realistically work. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/yNf3jftPP8U/.....resdefault.jpg
Lol kind of embarrassing for Skynet that MegaTech back in the 90s was smart enough to put the weapons right onto the robots arms rather then have the robots hold them. We had to wait till Skynet made the hehe.. Terminatrix and actually built a weapon into her arm.. *watches it inflate it's boobs like it does in the movie*
True, I think animatronics always look scarier. Like even when it's clear it's Arnold with fake robot parts make-up'd on him it's not as scary as when they cut to the obvious fake Arnold head. Animatronics and face casts always have the added benefit of having that creepy uncanny-valley effect associated with him.

I think it's something in the eyes.. something I can't even really logically see the difference in but you can just... SEE it you know. You can see life in one eye and nothing in the other..
But yeah I think Bryles has that advantage too because that anamatronic is so... off lol. Hell you can even see in most shots that his bottom jaw is unnaturally crooked and that the teeth look like they're just denchers lol. I like how the robot half looks derped out.. https://media.giphy.com/media/bl7qx.....1vMc/giphy.gif

It's hard for me to decide if having the fake white eyeballs the 1999 robots have is creeper then the red pupils the Terminators have. I feel like the fake human eyes look creepier because it just adds this strange human juxtaposition to all the robot around the eyes. You know I realized this just now, those big white dead eyes around metal kinda remind me of the worthless cars kinda..

lol NOOOOOOOOoo XD oh god no, she just likes me is all. Like, I think she just enjoys my friendly disposition and cheery outlook. lol and it I earn too much money THEY start to get a little testy with me; I.E. THEY don't like it, or at least the Doctor doesn't.
As long as I have someone willing to teach I'm more than willing to learn! That's another one of the reasons I'd love to have you come down here, 1. to hang out, and 2. to teach me how not to suck at auto repair XD And hey, we'll find out about Cass's engine once I start looking into it. You might be right about that just being a Y block thing but hey who knows! lol I'm still not 100% sure if she's manual or auto steering. I didn't see the part you linked me but that being said I could have just been overlooking it or looking in the wrong area.
(XD God I missed these text bricks!)
A whole new look eh? Well I'll be more than happy to look it over and tell you what I think! And on the Buddy topic, it's more or less he's an older fellow who owns his own business. He's busy with that stuff so I'd assume I'm not a primary concern so I'm probably not the first or even second thing on his mind. But moreover I haven't been calling him after we made the deal except to ask the one time if he minds if I got started on the rust while we waited to which he told me yes he does. I don't want to call and risk him saying "You know what, I think I'll just hang onto the car. Stop calling me." but also too I'm deeply worried that he might forget me or I might end up waiting a year to FINALLY get to work on Cassandra. It really does bother me because it feels like I'm being corralled into a darn if you do darn if you don't situation. I'm so close but yet I can't quite get over the finish line. And don't you worry, once I DO finally get that taken care of you'll be getting the call and I'll sort things out with my dad so we can get you down here immediately.
The ones and the same! They appeared in some program called the Sarah Connor Chronicles that I never watched and apparently they were smaller, and I've also heard you can see them in the opening of I THINK T2 because they're supposed to be the Terminators that look like the T800 but with the silver teeth you see since the T800 has the human looking teeth. Regardless, I'm right there with you because all the newer ones did was try to rewrite the timeline and I would indeed LOVE to see a cut away. I'm still working on that Fallout one I'm doing of the original Mr. Handy design which I think you'll like. XD It's a shame I can't actually build it with how much work I've put into the design.
lol oh god, don't even bring up Terminator 3, that movie was SO bad XD Arnold's acting was just way of, it felt so strongly of "We can't get that actor back? Kill them off in the script then" There's just somuch to nit pick with that movie. But the one scene I take away from it, the one scene that T3 boils down to for me is the very corny poorly executed scene where Arnold is "fighting" the reprogramming of the Terminatrix and going after John. lol and yeah I'm sure somewhere out there, there's a man in the post apocalyptic world of Terminator with a blonde mullet eating a banana whose just snarkily chuckling as he looks over the terminators and scoffs at their lack of "One Million Megabytes"
Oh heck yes, the first Arnold cast in the original Terminator was just horrifying and unsettling! I remember seeing that scene when I was younger where he's in the hotel removing the damaged eye and you see it cut to the fake head looking in the mirror and he suddenly doesn't even look like the same person any more. It was SO freaky XD During the truck scene at the end of the first movie where he's chasing after them and you see the mechanical eye moving too!
YEEEEEEP them's the ones!
lol I wonder how we got to Terminators and creepy stuff on a picture of me in my fursuit after my attempts to make it look better XD The irony is just splendid.
Indeed! That's a trait on my dad's side I get where you can kinda see into the person through their eyes. Now I'm not saying any goofy psychic mumbo jumbo or trying to inflate it to more than it is, but when you look into someone's eyes you can usually see if they're lying or things like that. You can kinda read people's intention. With eyes like that they're just dead but kinda not at the same time and it's just an unsettling feeling that triggers that "There's something wrong here and that thing isn't good" feeling.
indeed! The bit where he's walking and limping down the hall is just nightmare fuel. He might be hobbled but at the same time he seems like MORE of a threat than he did when he was fixed. Granted the cast they used of the actor's face is JUST AWFUL XD it still accumulates into this gut turning "NOPE!" feeling that just makes the climax of the film all the better! lol and yeah, I get the feeling they were on kind of a tight budget.
Yeah, the red eye is obviously threatening, but the more animatronic look of Bryles makes him I think slightly more threatening? Creepy at the very least. I think they're two takes on a similar concept that each have their own merit. The Terminator endo-skeleton has more of a military hardware kind of vibe with how broad it is in the chest, how outright strong it looks and how durable it is. It FEELS like some kind of unholy mechanical weapon that can outfight you while still sort of looking human in a way. But first and foremost it is that chrome machine in your mind. For Class of 1999 however the androids FEEL more like they were designed to look human no matter what. The Android eyes, the eyelid components, the smaller size, they feel more like something that was designed to pass as human because they're of a more average side. I know in the movie they say that they were supposed to be military androids at some point before their conversion into teachers but they don't really feel like it. But that doesn't detract from them, their more "human" design and structure kind of makes it more of a creepy and unsettling experience to see what's underneath the fake skin. So it's just two roads with their own merit to get that feeling of dread and "It's not quite human" out of the audience.
Pffff lol of course it would! Though I can kinda see what you're saying.
lol our talk of killer robots and cars aside, what DO you think of my attempts to rework the Jyoo C 2 suit in the picture btw? Do you think it's looking better?
