Shut up and go surfing already. Who cares if California is better than Florida? Trying to pretend it's not is ridiculous. I grew up snowboarding the pacific northwest and northern intermountain ski areas, I lived in Tahoe for two seasons, saying those places are overrated is asinine, it's just not true. But I live in the midwest now, and that hasn't stopped me from finding ways to get my fix. I've surfed all over nor-cal too, and I know people surf Wisconsin. I admire those people, they know what surfing is all about. You can't have any illusions when you surf in a lake, you can't pretend it's better than double overhead in Hawaii, but you do it anyway because it's surfing and it's fun and that's what you do. :3
