Seeing what is going on in the forest is one of my most favorite activities as well.
My father always told me that nature is the teacher of even the greatest of artists that none can surpass.
Oh where would art be without electromagnetic radiation in the 400-700nm range of wavelengths? I'm certainly grateful for its existence and all the creatures before me who lived and died to give me a pair of eyes and brain to make such sense of it all.
It is a most beautiful gift of this place and this time, to be able to appreciate it as an artist is worth all the money a "more productive" life could have ever offered.
I feel that an image like this gives someone without the time or ability to see, the chance to catch a glimpse of what could have been.
