One can only bluff for so long...
I dunno if some of you have noticed that I've been rather distant in the past few weeks. Truth to be told, I try to put a tough face a lot, but I've been dealing with something I've been on denial for a long time: The fact that I may be anemic. And such affliction has practically killed my mood in most days.
Yeah, the typical symptoms on the past few weeks have become more apparent: getting tired more easily, shortness of breath, accelerated heartbeat... More than likely my iron levels have dropped way low at this point. Could be just that; could be worse; not sure right now.
Recently I've been taking iron supplements, 3 times a day, plus vitamins and such. If it helps, it'll take months before I notice.
"Why not go to a doctor then!?" Some may ask. Trust me, I think about it. It's just that... I dunno where exactly to go. Also yes, I do have insurance, but also I'm afraid of unknown charges that might not be covered. So yes, I'm scared to go for weird reasons.
I'm not writing this to give excuses or expect pity. I just think it would be fair to update people on my current situation and perhaps get some advice.

Speaking from personal experience, it'd be good to firstly look up what you're afflicted with online and browse some forums and whatnot, see if anyone's been asked to see a specialist or what's happened to them while they've been going through the same thing.
And on the topic of insurance, I think it'd be a benefit to find your insurance card (or something that has your plan number and a phone number to call), ring up your insurance company, and describe the problem. They probably won't be able to tell you exactly what you're going to need to do, but they'll at least be able to point you in the right direction in terms of what it covers, what types of doctors are in your network, and who else to contact for any more pertinent questions the company itself can't answer. Even if it's calling your Primary Care Physician (if you have one) and talking about what you think you may have and what can be done to help it, it could still clear things up a bit.
I hope this helps!

Oh geeze, I'm sorry to hear that. I know from experience that it's a bitch when you suspect or find out that you've got a chronic illness. It certainly would be a good idea to get checked when you determine who you should go to (I'd recommend asking a general practitioner first, they can probably point you in the right direction if they don't do it themselves). Once you've determined one way or the other, that will at least alleviate the stress of wondering "do I have it?" Then actually getting treatment can be focused on.
