There are moments I have been defeated. But this is a whole new one. I feel as if I have been insulted by life. Like tossing a ball for a dog, and then the dog chases it, runs a mile, only for it to realize there was no ball; it was in the owner's hand all along.

Not only have I been defeated, I have been insulted. Not by you. Not by man. But by God. Years of patience for such a chance wasted away by a few seconds. How fragile life must be for something so cruel and despised so easy to do by accident. T'is easier to wound than to mend. Oh but how a few seconds can change everything. From a happy playground to a smoldering wasteland. From joy to agony. From a signle swipe of a pen that cost the lives of a hundred-thousand souls. To this one moment. My failure is not of my own doing but of chance. And though chance have given the victory to a stranger. Luck is always my enemy. And I shall never forgive it.
