The art and the story just pull me in. Amazing work.

I want to say that in addition to the art and story being poignant and immediately captivating ... that's a really good font choice. I remember that font being used in all sorts of old science-books-for-kids and instructional manuals and such, and seeing it used for such a personal story has a really good effect. Almost as if the anecdote, while being highly personal, is being relayed in a completely matter-of-fact, dispassionate or otherwise disassociated way. It's a really lovely contrast.

Never thought about the sorts of action figures anthro animals would have. Interesting story, and I second the font's appropriateness.

I really like the lack of solid lines in the drawing and the nice crisp font.
