I made my avatar a character! No its not my fursona and I don't identify as it (I'm Dargons with an S, after all!), just wanted to make it a character c: It'll be acting as a mascot of such based in the world I've been creating around my art here.

Now for some backstory!

Dargon is a small dragon with t-rex features and a big round and squishy belly. Dargon is neither male or female but doesn't mind what pronoun people use for it. Filled with magic, Dargon's body is stretchy with its belly playing a primary role in that. Dargon used to be a normal t-rex back in the prehistoric days until it ate a crystal filled with potent magic in its haste to try and catch prey. The dinos body changed and its belly inflated with the magic as the crystal digested, causing its belly to inflate and mutating the rest of its body. Dargon has lived ever since as a somewhat intelligent walking cauldron of magic ever since. Back in prehistoric times in this world, the magical areas where objects like the crystal came from is what caused the first dragons to evolve from dinosaurs. In this world, dragons are ancient, but Dargon is one of the longest surviving as it's never really been seen as a threat. Dargon may be millions of years old, but it never got to age majestically like other dragons. In this world, dragons don't die of old age and in the modern age are seen as protectors

Dargon stands at about four foot as opposed to how large it would had been when it was a t-rex, but that side of it is still in there somewhere. Being turned into a dragon out of Dargon's own desire to feed, it has caused Dargon to develop quite a hungry personality. Dargon'll eat anything but loves meat, especially roasted. While food is usually digested by normal creatures, it is instead converted into energy, feeding the magic within Dargon. If Dargon doesn't get food and goes hungry, it'll become ferocious and even transform back into a giant bloated t-rex, eating anything in sight. Live creatures and people who are eaten by Dargon don't get converted into energy but instead become warped by the magic. Despite having no genitals so to speak, it will still gain the ability to lay eggs as its body is warped. Sometimes whoever was eaten will be fine after hatching, sometimes they'll be infused with a little bit of magic themselves and be changed; either way, Dargon doesn't much care about what happens to them afterwards so long as its not held responsible. Eating a lot of food will convert the excess magic into eggs, but these eggs are always infertile and might as well be food for other creatures. If Dargon does end up having offspring, they're the offspring of whoever impregnated it or if Dargon was doing the impregnating itself (which it can convert its body to do if feeling too much 'pressure' from 'overwhelming primal instincts'). Dargon hasn't seemed to be able to produce another creature like itself.

Otherwise, Dargon is pretty good natured and acts quite childish despite being originally a t-rex. When it gained intelligence it lost most of its drive as a predator, although its not incredibly smart either. Its still pretty naive and trusts people easily, like if you told it that chilli wasn't spicy it'd still eat it in one go without a second thought. Don't give it spicy food unless you want to be responsible for a fire, though. Spicy food will cause uncontrollable fire breath briefly but can be devastating to the environment around it. Dargon, despite his toothy appearance, enjoys cuddles and intimacy even if brief. Dargon can act a little jealous at all the other dragons with how big they are, how 'dragon-like' and majestic they appear while it is a small, squishy, chubby and tiny-winged dragon. No matter how much Dargon uses it's magical belly to warp it's body, it can't seem to hold a dragon-like form like them without losing control of the transformation.

Despite not being a majestic dragon, Dargon just finds itself reminded by what it likes about itself by hugging its belly and creating mischief using its magic.

I'll be using Dargon for SFW stuff, but Dargon is prone to NSFW too, what with its ability to lay eggs and to...relieve pressure, so there's that. I really like that blue gradient for its background too, it really goes well with the green, yellow and red, I think c:
