Last one for today. I love the way the cricket's neck appears to have been snapped backwards >:3 Such a vicious little sling.

how many Ts is that for you? like 5?
and here i am with just 6, bah i'll be outdone
if you can get them to take a cricket while in a clear container
it's as interesting to see as watching the undulations of a gastropod on aquarium glass
i read that adult coloration of the carapace is a blend of light pink and copper
i don't even have a colored pencil to cover that shade even if i wanted to

i could have sworn that your crown jewel spider was the stunning, yet hazardous gooty ornamental
but anyway, goliaths are actually really hit and miss with aggression
some are quite docile and others, just look out, like C. crawshayi nasty
every breeder i have seen selling them puts the caution tag on them
and another FYI, the urticating hairs you are so concerned about
well these guys are the granddaddy of itching, T. blondi has the most hairs, the biggest hairs and the greatest ability to throw them of all Ts
on the other hand goliaths have a mild venom, certainly nothing like the potency of your OBTs, the majority of the pain would be physical more than chemical
of just getting punctured by that size of fang (an experience that i personally, did not have to endure)
i had a fully mature and seemingly placated female of unknown age for about 3 years before she died, (they are one of the shortest lived T species)
but even knowing all the drawbacks, if i have another chance at a confirmed female i would do it again
their dimensions make them seem surreal even if they are drab by the spectrum
i know that you are longing to have a handleable T and i still say something under Grammastola genus is the way to go
with my personal bias on the chaco golden knee, just a big fuzzy looking tangle of legs
as close to a teddy bear as a spider gets

I actually only got mine for the price of shipping. If you can look around for a tarantula owner with a new batch of spiderlings that are more than they can handle, generally they'll sell the slings for very cheap. Pet stores are the WORST place to buy inverts of any kind. SO expensive. D: They have a pink toe at the local pet store here and it has patches missing from the fuzz on its abdomen, but they're still asking $30 for it :S
Hmm....I'll have to check into that, thanks. Cuz I have noticed that they're pretty expensive. I'd rather buy a rat for the money. As soon as I convince those that i live with that tarantulas aren't terrifying monsters that will eat them in their sleep....Well, i've wanted one since i was about 10. ^^;
