I know, that's what I said! And thanks for the compliment on the sound layering; it took me forever to make it right, or at least make it sound right to me. Oh, and would you mind taking a look at this:

A note, again: I'm not familiar with the original, so sorry if I assume too much or too little of you as an artist. Whoops! Anyway, on to the longcomment...
I really like this. It starts off with a pretty typical beat, but then kicks in with some great, vehement distorted-industrial stuff. Lots of attitude and ambience. Sounds like the music for the really bad part of town...
I also like you added to the instruments and changed it up to keep it interesting. The break from the main beat at approximately two minutes is nice too, as it definitely breaks up the oppressive industrial lead, adds a new instrument that contrasts very strongly with the deep and bassy main, and keeps that instrument throughout the song. I also noticed the not-so-subtle arcade noises that kick in about three-and-a-half minutes in: kinda cheesy, but they contrast well with the main. I also like the gradual fadeout near the end, good way to lead out the track, though I thought the final instrument should have had an echo or reverb effect put on it at the end so it wouldn't end so abruptly.
Regardless, nice job! Quite dark and dense with noise: quite an interesting piece, definitely not your standard techno fare, that's for sure.
