A character almost as important to me as Lupe, I would easily say if i were to have a 2nd Fursona this would be him. Osarus is another Character from my old RP days and a Character I spent a lot of my Early to Mid-Teens with. Since I used him for so long in the games he has ended up with a really precise and in-depth story-line, inevitably becoming critically 'overpowered' for an RP Character. He was an almost invincible warrior by the end.
I would type his backstory thoroughly but it would take forever so I'll do a basic one...
At 16 he was enlisted into an Order called the 'Centaur Knights' a Chivilristic Military Order, who were tasked with obviously protecting his Home region. However one day while he and a small platoon of a few other Centaur Knights were out on Patrol, His home was ransacked from the Sea by a massive group of Pirates, who arrived with a cyclopian Armada of Caravel, Merchantman and War Galleon's. Although his people and the majority of his Order who were still garrisoned fought valiantly until the death, they were vastly outnumbered and inevitably were overwhelmed.
Osarus and the few remaining Knights eventually returned after a few days to the horrific sight. The City was sacked and burned, everyone was dead. Frantically the group (Now the Last of the Order) searched for survivors but found only death and one critically wounded colt who relayed the whole affair to them before he died. Overcome by survivors guilt and a feral rage the few Knights rode off seeking bloody vengeance on whoever had lead this slaughter. However the group had been so overcome with rage they did not think clearly and had left totally unprepared and with no idea where they were going. Months past and eventually his comrades all fell to illness and starvation. Until he was the only one left.
Starving, Hungry and minus half his body-weight he eventually blacked out himself, as he faded he really thought it was the end of him. However he was very lucky as he was discovered by a small enclave of friendly druids, who nursed him back to health. Being a Centaur the group felt the need to help him as it was their duty as guardians of nature and it's creatures (Being Half Horse really helped there). Eventually the anger drained from him and his need for vengeance waned, thanks to the peaceful Druidic ways. He stayed within the group for a few years learning basic Druidic skills, secrets and spells while defending his new friends when they needed a trained blade.
Eventually though he outgrew the group the camp was small and they really didn't have any room or the food to accommodate his massive frame. The Druids insisted that he could and should stay with them but Osarus insisted it wasn't really beneficial to them and it was the sensible thing for him to do to ensure their survival. He didn't want to be a burden on them and the relatively few supplies they had, he was an outsider afterall and a large one at that.
He ended up in a Technologically Advanced Steam-Town known as Conway. It was a lot dirtier than what he was used to with all the smoke and pollution. but his abilities provided him with a decent and lucrative income to support himself. Mercenary work was always an option in this city for someone with Osarus' Skill Set and the noble houses would pay a lot for a decent warrior. He also learnt some very basic engineering skills here gaining the ability to fix machines and manufacture simple mechanical items to aid in his career as a Mercenary.
He is about ready to move on again as the narrow, cramped Conway streets and alleys are starting to get to him. As a Centaur he always has a fiery lust in his heart to return the wide open plains he was used to in his original home.
