ooooh, slippy hit below the belt with that last comment.

I don't really have any intellgient commentary today, (brain is fried) but as always, an endearing little chapter as we progress beyond the "milk run" arc and some things start to come back together for the characters.

I liked the exchange between Lisitza (I can never be sure I'm spelling that porerly) and the reporter in particular.

Ya, I think the reporter is going to show up again later on down the line.

Slippy is gonna find himself docked pay, maybe permenantly if he doesn't get is mind up...

I think I've got it! Slippy is mad because the only girl that would ever talk to him in life only does so because he was once a guy! Amirite?

(Yes, I'm ignoring Amanda in Command. XD)

Geez Slip, give the poor girl a break. She's been through a lot.

Now this... I should say I saw coming. Mainly, the part about Fox being "dead" and the reporters coming to dive in to try and talk to his "wife" to see how she feels about it with all the subtlety of a 12 car pile up.. I'll clap for the realism you put there as I barely watch the news these days because they still act just like this.


And Liz I have to say was given the best line in the chapter in blowing them off in a way that makes the most sense. Her "husband" was dead and they immediately swarm her wanting to know how she feels about it. I think Brad and Angie had to go through that a couple of times over when I think back on it..


Moving from that, the problem with funding and finance becomes address again, with Liz telling everyone that if they don't find work and build up a reputation, they wouldn't be able to be in business too long despite how many medals of honor they received. Luckily General Pepper came through with the money this chapter so at least repairs are done.


Speaking on, the last line has some VERY sharp foreshadowing. I mean... Slippy... angry. Much? Peppy got over Fox being female. Falco's even hitting on her. But Slippy just isn't subtle about hating the change at all. I mean.. wow. There's a hell of a line to end a chapter on.

Ya, you almost think Slippy has other issues...
