As part of the Surrogate Corps. Sienna is all to familiar with multiple pregnancies, especially with her status as a 'colony breeder'. Here we see her at the start of what is likely to be a long tour: lounging and checking, possibly her manifest for equipment, or schedule for check ups. Either way, she has a long road ahead of her and has to take whatever chance she can to relax.

A tour like this is most certainly a long term undertaking! She will likely stay with the colony long enough to see her first brood as young adults! But never fear! Surrogate Corps. provides gen-hancements as well as revitalizing treatments post tour. meaning that Surrogates can expect lifespans extended well beyond the norm!
But of course! The Surrogate Corps. accepts 'donations for males, females and all other genders! Though it is usually customary that the starting population of the colony provides the initial genetic assets sometimes this just can't be done, and hence the Corps. keeps an extensive 'donor' reserve.
Not so much 're'populate as just plain ole populate! It is easier to send a small staff to start an initial colony, but in doing so most members of the team have no time to be out of action with a pregnancy. And whilst vat grown offspring are an option, it is still a moral grey area, plus all that special equipment needs tending and cost a fortune to boot! Enter the Surrogate Corps! Able to do the same 'job' as a replication vat or other bio-engineering machine, but also able to tend to themselves for the most part and sometimes even contribute to the colonization process!*

Ahhh right, yeah that makes sense. I guess the main cost is providing the food for them as the pregnancy grows as well as caring for those that get too big to move and such, not that I see that as an issue at all and would be glad to help look after them ^^
But yeah that sounds like a fun job ^^
