anyway this is what ive been workin on, i thought i was gunna be done along time ago but i wasnt. i didnt finish until today. i am going to delete the old one after this. and now i will copy paste the info i have over at DA:

CHANGES AND NOTES:

THUMBS: Opposable thumbs have been removed because they make no evolutionary sense. Psyraps are not omnivorous foragers nor do they make or use tools. A thumb would actually lower the efficiency in running on all fours. Thumb is now a dewclaw.

NUMBER OF TOES: Digit number on feet now match digit number on hand because it once again didn't make evolutionary sense for this animal to have more or less digits on one limb than another. Also two mere toes on the ground is not enough to make it a powerful runner capable of handling it's wieght. Dromaeosaurs can afford two ground toes because they had lightweight bones and body structures.

UPTURNED TOE AND SICKLE CLAW: The toe with the sickle claw is now actually an overgrown dewclaw that does not touch the ground whatsoever.

CLAWS: are no longer broad and flat because not only would they be useless in killing and eating, but would also inhibit their running.

TENNAS: are now called "tendrils", credit to :devdendril:'s terminology, probably the only creature in the world that had those things before psyraps did.

FACIAL MUSCLE: more muscle structure has been added to the face, allowing for more expression and less of a static, default "dumb" look that dinosaurs tend to have.

FACIAL MARKINGS: are now called the "mask" and are no longer required to be clown or skull like tribals.

FOREPAWS: The front hands have been made slightly more paw-like to make the psyrap more believable as a creature that is both quadrupedal and bipedal.

TAILQUILL: has been removed and replaced by a tailfan made of specialized fur.

EARS: are now part of the psyrap sexual dimorphism, females having longer and thinner, and males wider and shorter (slightly).

MANE: has been made less hair-like and more natural looking, also now extends past the shoulders.

BIRTH: babies are born live, no more eggs. as social animals, being born as eggs would not create the closeness needed to be pack animals. they are also born near-hairless and gain fur as they get older, they are no longer inexplicably born as fluffballs.

GROUP NAME: a group of psyraps is no longer called a clan, it is called a GRIP.

REF LINEARTS: have been purposely simplified. i tried to make them less stylized than my usual drawings. hopefully this makes it easier for each artist to interpret the animsl into their own style.
