PCA - Team April Fool 2009
Introducing Team Domestic Violence! These guys are a tough new upcoming team with an odd sense of humor. Maybe not the best organized, but they manage to pull together somewhat for matches.
Fernando "Fuckup" Press (Freshman: Shiny Eevee, Male, Team Leader/Tool)
Originally an only child being raised by a single parent, Fernando's life was turned upside down when Eleanor Press, his portly well-meaning Flareon mother, decided to remarry. Her new husband, a strict but fair Dewgong, soon made his presence and his rules known in the house. No more video games late at night, no more hanging out until his room was clean, no more sugary snacks. Period. Used to being able to upturn his mother's decisions with persistence, Fernando found the rules hard, even maddening. His mother seemed intimidated, doing nothing to halt or slow these changes, leaving Fernando feeling bitter and betrayed. This feeling only increased a year later, when Eleanor gave birth to his younger half-brother.
Practically spitting in his parents faces over this new betrayal, Fernando became rebellious and reclusive, holing himself up in his room. Without the support of his family, he turned to trying to impress his peers, starting a long-running quest to be 'cool'. A complete tool, Fernando goes along with any trend that's in season, often leading to drastic unwarranted wardrobe changes. Aggravated by the plain-ness of his own element, he claims that he himself is the eighth Eevee evolution; Ghost-type Angsteon, even going to the point of developing a powerful Shadow Ball as his very first move. His nickname, Fuckup, is actually an insult from middle school that followed him to the PCA. Though he may tell you he lost his ear in a fight with Team Magma, it was actually bitten off by his aunt's pet Snubbull when he was six.
Ty'seem Williams (Junior: Umbreon, Male, Bruiser/Absentee) and Ty'quasia Williams(Junior: Espeon, Female, Ranged Support/Vindictive Bitch)
Tried and true Bebe's kids, Tyseem and Ty'quasia hail from Viridian's Latoya Stantlene housing projects. Growing up right in the middle of a troubled area with a working mother and a drug-dealer father, Ty'seem and his older sister didn't have very much guidance through their lives, and eventually progressed into outrageous and violent behavior. The two even joined the notorious gang, Team Aqua. Their mother tried her best to discipline them, even going as far as ejecting her husband from the house, as she realized he was exacerbating their behavior. The retaliation from this was bitter, and she was quickly overwhelmed and threw herself even further into work. Eventually her efforts paid off and she was able to move out of the projects with her two children. Unfortunately, this didn't help their behavior at all. Suddenly thrown into the midst of a bunch of students weaker and more naive then they were, Ty'seem and Ty'quasia went on a rampage, eventually finding a new set of Aquas to roll with. Soon they had a good portion of the school afraid of them. Transferring to the PCA through affirmative action after their eighth grade year, they seek to repeat this feat.
Ty'seem is quieter and more reclusive than Ty'quasia, which isn't saying much. Secretive in his motives, he evolved into an Umbreon purely to keep his Espeon sister out of his head. Mean and effective, folks who cross him often find themselves up to their necks in trouble, as he is more impressive of a fighter than he looks. Ty'seem is most often found on side streets and back alleys, either selling dime bags of weed or drinking malt liquor on stoops with his friends and sister. He is in the PCA on a probationary basis because of an arrest for drug possession the previous year and a suspension for jumping a student he suspected to be a Team Magma member.
Ty'quasia, on the other hand, is loud and comes off more as nasty than dangerous like her brother. An insufferable bitch, she lives primarily in other people's heads, feverently searching for bits of information to use against them. Unendingly cutthroat and demeaning, she makes enemies of everyone around her. While this probing is useful for gathering information on rival teams, her confrontational nature is very hard to tolerate. The only reason the team even keeps her around is because they like staring at her tits.
Sousuke "Fang" Uchiwa (Sophmore: Lucario, Male, Sweeper/Lazy A-hole)
From a small village in the deeper regions of the Sinnoh Safari Zone, Fang is from a distant branch of the Riez Clan. Though the Riez are known to be cruel, the Uchiwa are brutal. Fang was trained to fight through the savage beatings that established the village's pecking order. As he got stronger, making his way up the ranks past his older peers, and even some adults, jealousy built and Fang began to feel his life was in danger. The PCA was actually an escape for him. He was recruited by Fernando as an enforcer, to keep the volatile Ty'seem and Ty'quasia under control. However, this position doesn't work well, as Fang is so intent on taking it easy. Though he could blow them away with a single hit due to his type advantage, he lets the Eon duo to their own means for the most part. Only one opponent has interested him so far, another Lucario who calls himself Deathshadow.
Though he is not keen on showing it, he actually has an extra buildup of Aura. This causes problems with controlling the intensity of his Aura Sphere, which often appears as rainbow-colored due to his unstable emotions. Meditation helps, but if left unchecked his Aura buildup can start affecting his brain and drive him into a vicious rage. So far, Crystal has been the only one shown to be capable of defeating him in this state.
As far as personality goes, Fang is surprisingly laid-back and completely unmotivated. PCA is practically a vacation for him. He is also learning basic cultural differences such as 'it is not okay to Focus Punch the Freshman who bumped into you into a wall.' He is also trying to figure out what to do about the small gaggle of girls who have started following him around the school. However, he is wracked by emotional turmoil, which can become evident when he is tired or upset. Fang mostly channels these emotions through destroying punching bags and occasionally through cutting himself. It's not an overstatement to say the right girl could help him through his trials, though...
Edmund Collin (Senior: Pikachu, Male, Alernate/Token Hottie)
A mysterious and seemingly emotionless figure, Edmund's life has not been kind to him. The child of two infamous con artists, five-year-old Edmund was the only survivor of a house fire that destroyed both his family and anything that he might have come to inherit. In the core of his being, Edmund has always known that the fire was no fluke...it was intentional. His one greatest hope is to find and prosecute the murderers who stole what could have been his life.
Edmund was passed through foster home to foster home, as he was not likely to be adopted. He was silent, had behavior problems, and his piercing yellow-bronze deterred possible adoptive parents. Also, Crobat heritage gave him sharp fangs and an odd awareness of the smell of blood. However, he did excel in his studies, and was able to start going to high school from his group home.
Once there, he tried to once again to fade into the background. However, his pale fur incurred teasing...and beaten-up bullies who managed to goad him into fighting. While slow to anger, Edmund is incredibly vengeful, sometimes even taking months to exact his perfect revenge. He eventually threw himself into a whorl of hatred, becoming even more antisocial than ever. Only one thing broke him out of his reverie. A young Absol girl named Crystal. Unnerved by his silence and apparent hatred of everything, she tried comforting him with her presence...which ended up in a nasty bruise for her when he finally ran out of patience. Not to be deterred, Crystal stuck by Edmund day after day and actually started to grow on him. Edmund started to look forward to seeing her everyday, and eventually they started dating. Edmund has finally begun to open up, slowly but steadily. Recruited by Ty'seem, the two have recently come as a pair into Team Domestic Violence.
Despite not saying much, Edmund is a powerful fighter, hosting an arsenal of quick and precise attacks, and when he feels any intense emotion, his powerful Static ability causes him to discharge tiny sparks that make it appear as if he is glittering. However, like Fang, he has shown instability inside and outside of the ring. He is generally less of a problem, though, as Crystal seems to be able to calm him down from his emotional states. As proof of their bond, the two gave each other scars over their eyes, earning them some odd looks from their teammates.
Crystal Moon Kirei Sunrise (Sophmore: Absol, Female, Alternate/Snowflake)
Of all the DVers, Crystal is universally accepted to have had the most miserable life. She was born to a drug-addicted mother who died shortly after her birth, and an ex-convict father in the backstreets of Hoenn. Living on the streets, she became a common sight around restaurants and fast food joints, scrounging around trash cans for food. All attempts to catch the cute little Absol girl failed, as she was as quick as a Meowth and disappeared into shadows with an unnerving ease. After that, she and her father would simply move to another area. Eventually he began teaching her to fight and steal. A quick learner, Crystal excelled at both, and could soon steal a mon's wallet with a smile on her face, and throw a nasty left hook their way in the same breath. As she got older, Crystal started growing more attractive, which proved too much of a temptation for her father.
With nowhere to go, Crystal was forced to stay with her father, who had become abusive and started beating and raping her in attempts to 'toughen her up.' She stayed with him, hopelessly dependent, until her fourteenth birthday. Her savior came in the form of a lucky tipoff which the police responded to, finally freeing Crystal from the grip of her abusive father.
From there on, Crystal went to live with some Shaymin relatives in the Celadon gym. Training mind and body she became gradually stronger, though she still had something resembling abandonment issues, and still displayed some sort of emotional attachment to her father. Hoping to wean her of this, her aunt and uncle took her to several family re-unions and made sure she visited parks and playgrounds often. When she only showed minimal improvement, they shipped her off to the PCA, hoping that being surrounded by other youngsters would help her develop a more independent constitution.
Even at the Academy, Crystal found it hard to make friends. Despite her sweet and gentle personality, her shiny color, vicious claws, and choice clothes caused others to shy away from her. Until she met a Pikachu. While annoyed by her presence, he was not intimidated, and after a few scuffles, the two became friends, then significant others. As proof of their bond, the two gave each other scars over their eyes, earning them some odd looks from their teammates. Crystal's right eye had already been destroyed in a fight with her father, though, so she sometimes feels that her scar means less that Edmund's.

Ah, I'll tell you, it's finally good to get these guys released, I've been conceptualizing for months now, and this is the end result. Though I'm happy with them overall, the lineart could have been a bit neater and I have a few nitpicks like Fernando and Ty'quasia's feet.

Wow......................they kinda relate to a few of my characters. Like Edmund. Ellie and Bella are the only survivers in their family because of a house fire, but I'm pretty sure it was for a different reason ^^". Anyway, they seem awsome, and I made a character once, but decided not to put her in a team. She's a ghost type, and she used to work for Team Magma, but she quit. for some reason, I feel like drawing her now, and a few others I have thought of.
Ah well Edmund is definitely going to find the guys who burned down his house when he's older or just later in the year. Then he and Crystal are going to bring them to justice...maybe even kill them. After Edward avenges his family, I'm planning for them to get married. <3
Oh, a ghost type? She better watch out if she's a Magma, Ty'seem and Ty'quasia are Aquas and they won't like that. >,>;
