It's coming along nicely. I'm two days ahead of schedule, but the base took nearly three days to complete due to the joints I had to make (descriptive picture to ensue). Instead of pouring a foundation, I've only used cinder block for footings because the ground here is completely packed with shale, and it also lets me get around a bunch of headaches regarding permits because in using cinder blocks, it qualifies as a temporary structure. Yay, loopholes!

Fortunately that's not a problem due to the shale. For one, I had to use an excavator to dig just that little bit for leveling the cinder blocks. Secondly, the firewood rack to the right used to be where this shop is, and nothing ever lived under there. Threely, I have squirrels living in the ceiling between the first and second stories of my house, so ground hogs living under a workshop is the least of my problems.
