After drawing M'Ress previously, I started wondering what a similar character might be like in my anthro "Stellar Voyages" Trek parody stuff - how does an anthro cat fit into a universe already full of them? I suppose one option is to go the other way, and have a four-footed kitty prowling the decks, but I went with a somewhat feral-ish Darke-Katt like design, with a cue or two from various anime/manga/game kitties.

He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the Toad-born came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
I don't know about that. I've read several of Larry Niven's stories that included the Kzinti. While an overly warlike and violent species, they are also very honorable, keeping any and all promises made to anyone, even "monkeys" (humans). I know that Larry Niven wrote the episode involving the Kzinti; but I don't believe he would make them to be total jerks. I do need to watch that episode again. (It's been a long time since I saw it.)
Well, as I said, I've read a few stories that involved the Kzinti and I never considered them jerks. However, in every society there are those that live outside the normal parameters of that society AND, since Larry Niven wrote that screenplay, I'm guessing that's what he wanted to portray. But, I do vaguely remember that episode and, I quite agree that they could have been portrayed a bit more honorably.
