Oh look! Wild Reference appeared! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!1!

So...We've got two starfighters up to bat here. Possibly the best designs I've made so far...^_^

First up is the Apolizeien Starfighter Manufaturing Company's Interceptor model, very widely used by the Imperial Navy. Unlike Confederate fighters, these ships have warp drives (read: Portal Drive), which allow them to travel virtually any distance in 15 minutes. A pair of high powered laser cannons give it an offensive kick, complete with a torpedo launcher to give it 3 heavy weapons on it. This ship has advanced armor plating, and a light energy shield. Despite its durability in combat, these racers spend more time in maintenance than in flight. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HIGH SPEED ATMOSPHERIC FLIGHT

The next is the Apolizeien Starfighter Manufaturing Company's 8A7 Space Superiority Fighter. This is possibly the best starfighter in the Imperial Navy, and also the most balanced. It has standard armor of magnistel, and a medium strength energy shield. It has a Portal Drive, like the Interceptor. It has two seats, one for a pilot, one for a gunner. The gunner controls the smaller smooth bore turret and the twin torpedo tubes. The pilot controls two large 730P cannons, which have the power to cut through three meters of titanium. The wings fold up a bit for storage, and can also fold back for atmospheric flight. (The wing cannons can aim inwards to cut drag when the wings fold back)

Both fighters are made with less emphasis on wings, and have very small frontal silhouettes. Their cannons are about 20P above the normal Confederate starfighter, making them formidable opponents. The Apolizeien Co. is famed for high quality fighters, and they definitely delivered on these models, which happen to now be 200 years old, but still are in production.
