Secondhand/recycled/nature-found materials: Leather, bones, yarn
Description: Here's one of my elaborately decorated headdresses, perfect for dancing, costuming, and more! The base is a beautiful red coyote head that I reshaped to make it more realistic. On the back I sewed a patchwork panel of leather scraps stitched together, and adorned with assorted animal bones. The sides of the coyote have rooster wing feathers beneath the ears. The leather panel has long, hand-cut tassels made of secondhand yarn. It ties on with a pair of straps under the chin. For all its adornment, this headdress is quite lightweight and can be worn comfortably for hours.
This is a one size fits most item; it measures about 46" from nose to end of yarn.
