This interesting yet poisonous ball of snot is a Jellyfish that washed up on the beach. This was the first time I’ve ever seen one in person. A Jellyfish has long ribbon like tentacles that float in the water behind it. These tentacles are what the Jellyfish use to catch its food, by waving in the water a little fish or something will accidentally swim into them thus getting stung by the venomous tentacles (yes they are venomous) it only takes a few seconds for the fish to become paralyzed form the venom and soon lunch.
