This is Wydehoof, a biker-bull, in the 2008 Midwest Furfest fursuit parade. He was my first completely self-made suit that I finished around the end of 2007.

I understand that the horns were probably made part of the hat. My pointless question is, how would the character be able to get his horns through the hat in order to put it on? Maybe all this coffee makes me think too much.
I preferre your realistic approach towards fursuiting as opposed to the cartoon style.

Hahaha, if I had a nickel for every time I was asked that. My usual answer is that he's worn the hat since he was a calf, so his horns just burst through his hat with time.
Honestly it goes down to character style. I originally aimed to make a silly pun and make him a "cowboy", but after I finished the head he looked more like a biker so I went that way instead. The leather vest has a patch on the back and everything.
I, too, prefer realistic-style fursuits, as you can probably tell from Wydehoof and my most recent suit, [url=http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2078910/]Xango[/a].

I looked at the picts closely to see if the hat had been modified so that it could be placed on the head, then the back half strapped together to get around the problem of the horns. Again, too much coffee. *tosses you a nickel*
I haven't been to many cons, but to the ones I have and seen a suit like your Xango, there is always a big awe factor. I appreciate the amount of work and expense that serious fursuiters like yourself go through to achieve that level of realism.

Thank you, it's very nice of you to say so.
I'm not really sure how I came to this point. All I can think is if my 10 year old self saw Xango he'd be ecstatic. Something in me has just always wanted to express some sort of beastly side ("furry" as most furs would describe doesn't exactly describe me, but it's close enough), and the more I chase after it the closer I get.
I guess it's a "do what makes you happy" kind of thing.
