Okay, now that everything is set up again on my computer I'm trying to go through and post old art once more. This was done when my scanner could scan color. Or anything at all. An African Wild Dog sentry done with colored pencils. (Cause I like using them the most.) I added the background later. Look in my scraps for some more stuff - such as the larger version of the dog alone. *nods*

*reaches for can and pulls out random pencil* Crayola. And Crayola kicks ass too. PENTECH in here as well. Prang. Some Prismacolors. And yes.. I've seen some individual colored pencils for sale at OUTRAGEOUS prices. Go for Crayola or Prang. I can do things like /that/ with those brands.
well.. I had to get roseart because it was the only brand (under $100 @_e) at the store that had more than 24 pencils... but yeah... $2.96 or something for one pencil >_< Ow... I've never heard of prang O.o I didnt see it at Michael's either so I don't think I'd find it anywhere around here unless I can find another at store that's like mainly drawing and coloring etc... >_<
Wow you really out did yourself on this one. Haven’t seen to many colored images by you, though you certainly know how to. Really nice background to this image as well. Know the lion king does the whole huge sun rising thing, though I’ve always kind of wondered if there are places in the world where that actually happens. Would be a pretty thing to see, and then leave the country before it reaches high sky making a beautiful morning into a miserably hot day. The character himself his colored very well and you really did well at getting his marking to appear like an African wild dog/painted wolf. :P Apparently your skill at drawing hands realistically isn’t a new development either; his arms and other features are also well done. If I ever wore a hat I’d tip it in your direction :P.
