Still busy, so more from the vaults...
Drawing/inking is from some time around '99 - '03 (???). Scanned it and tried digi coulouring it around '03 -'04...The concept for this colouring was in '07, but i didn't have the colour sense to pull it off, so it didn't get very far. Finished it up a few days ago thanks to Krita's nifty "artistic colour wheel" and faders etc etc...It was actually a lot greyer than this version cuz my brain was off in "be subtle" mode, but when i looked at it later...feh, too grey. So i fiddle with the saturation, blah blah blah....Anyway. So this is the flat colour version. There is also an alternate colour edit that i'll post in a few days....
As to why it's part of the KIS series of pics....heck if i know. i guess because when i penciled it i was thinking it was a KIS pic...so...

Well, as i said, when i did the pencil rough i was thinking that it was part of the KIS series. Even after inking it and adding the BG...i was like "Well...she's wearing mini skirt, bangle belt and Frazzeta/Williamson style boots from the old EC space comics...so it's not medieval..." But you're right about the magic vibe: in another rough idea colouring from around '07 the open book is glowing and there's a sort of magic fireball floating above her raised hand - those will be in the final version. ^_^

Also, if i removed this from the KIS series of pics it would jump from KIS 21 to KIS 23 and would create a sort of black hole in which the whole universe would collapse...So by my saying this is KIS 22 i'm basically saving the entire universe. No big deal - i do that sort of thing all the time.
