I love pictures where a character is huge and awe-inspiring, even a bit terrifying, but my favorite situations are "casual macro" as you put it. It's just so much fun to put a huge character in a normal situation and see what little things have to change for them to fit.

According to the commissioner, Aurory made the book big herself. So it's likely just a normal book, but reading such tiny text is a chore so she did herself a favor.

GoatTrain is correct! Auroury is actually a deceptively powerful sorceress, despite her young age (it runs in her family), so she's used some magic to size the book up to her current scale. Magic comes in handy in all the strangest places.
