This is Émile.
He is a professional acrobat and actor. He is currently working in a circus/theatrical group similar to the Cirque du Soleil.
He likes dancing and rock climbing in his spare time. The majority of his time is spent at work or hanging from a sheer rock face several thousand feet off the ground.
He is a positive and outgoing person, although his fang filled smile can be off putting.
He is intellectually bright and aware of current events and music. He prefers techno music, but he is also a fan of classical composers.
He is utterly fearless and will attempt crazy stunts and undergo any hardship if he thinks it will be “fun.”
He is omnisexual and not really into any sort of long term relationship given that he is constantly traveling.
He doesn't have much in the way of possessions, climbing gear, some workout clothes, his smartphone; i.e. nothing he can't throw into his back pack or just leave behind.
He is a member of a race of anthropomorphic reptiles called the Sitarae.
The Sitarae appear to be mostly derived from Monitor lizard or Komodo Dragon ancestors. Their race has no sexual dimorphism. The females and the males are virtually identical apart from individual quirks and mannerisms. Males have no exterior secondary sexual characteristics, the male organ remaining hidden entirely inside the body until aroused. The females lay eggs and do not have any mammalian sexual attributes, such as breasts. Occasionally, under the right circumstances or environmental conditions, Sitarae can change from one sex to another in much the same manner that some other “primitive” reptiles can.

He's ambivalent towards them. He'll wear thermo insulating wear and gloves and that sort of thing when he rock climbs or works out as in the other pictures. That and he has a huge furry coat he wears when it gets too cold out for him to regulate his body temperature. He'll wear stuff if it's the socially appropriate thing to do and when he's in costume during his performances.
I really like how in depth you have Émile. A lot of people on this site just make up like a 5 minute thought up OC with no basis or origin. It's just simply a vapid, mundane character that's most likely used to take it up the ass with another 5 minute thought up OC.
Then there are people like you that actually take time to think about the character and develop him very well. I know I have many characters. Sometimes having a lot of characters are unnecessary, but I can tell you each and every one of my characters' personalities, their interests, their family, who they are friends with, how their friends personalities are, their friends personalities, what conflicts they make, and so on and so on.

Thanks for the compliment. I really appreciate when people like the details. When visualizing a person I try to connect with them on a personal level. Everybody, fictional or not, is connected to the world they arise in and the history of their relationships between themselves, others and that world. I try to think of those things while writing about the people who populate the worlds I'm trying to develop as I write. I'm not always good at it and it's darned hard to build a coherent summary of a person for places online etc. One quote by Sartre "Man is not the sum of what he has already, but rather the sum of what he does not yet have, of what he could have." informs in part how I try to think about characters. Elsewhere, unfortunately I don't remember where, he says something to the effect of "you cannot say what a man is, only what he was, and then only accurately after he has died." I try to keep those things in mind, however imperfectly.

I think this is the best way to make a character, I did the same when i drew my main lizard character and yes, at first there's the idea but the more you dig into their world, the harder it is to make it work. But I guess we enjoy the challenge, and in my opinion it turns out to be helpful for our own social skills on the long run as well, as a byproduct. And the more complex the story is the better the chance for others to relate if it's done properly.
I figured the best way to do it is to use both writing and drawing together to make a story. What's your opinion on that?
