The hero of the main story, Leo Davis is a young French boy who happily lived in Bordeaux until the day he died that one time that felt like too much for Stan, who decided to give him time manipulation powers. Unfortunately, due to Leo not being pure, every use of his powers turns him into what you can see here, hence his trip to the Otter World.

This drawing was made a month back, when I animated a launch party for the book's Kickstarted (which failed miserably due to marketing and personal reasons). It was given out as a prize, so I don't have the original drawing anymore. Still, I quite like his design now :D
