He is bringing life back into a dark place. Though the atmosphere is quiet dark, this carries a lot of hope that light and life are capable to grow from even those places.

Love the medieval feel. What is he holding? I'm guessing those are the roots of the tree since you mentioned how you focused on the inner and outer ecology which that is of a tree?
