The Weekly Inks #13
Model Sketch: Debra Mancini (2015)
No color version of this yet, but see the color commission she was redrawn in here.

One of the things I do when commissioned for an unfamiliar character is to do a test sketch of the character to provide a baseline for how they're going to look in my style. This one is of
flippedoutkyrii's Debra Mancini, an Italian spotted hyena that appears in the pic "Slush Splash". Her daughter Hannah appears in a similar pic comprised of a headshot and a full-body pic to confirm how they are to be dressed
I was originally going to just post the pencils as a quickie "sign of life" while hopping between three commissions in the background, but all this talk of "Inktober" led me to slide this into Clip Studio for a digital ink job. While at it, I also tested out streaming on Picarto. (I didn't announce I'd be there, but I put up a link on my homepage while it was ongoing). Now that I've done this, expect Hannah to get the same treatment--once I make some more progress on the other projects.

Long-delayed, but a similar inked sketch of her daughter Hannah will be posted in a few days, and she's sporting even taller boots. I'm considering repositioning this pic as a "weekly ink and pencil" post, adding the pencil version and then doing the same with Hannah's pic.
