Okay so I really liked this prompt to draw a cryptid either based of existing urban legends or not, which is damn awesome. I started looking up some to see what would be fun to draw, but then I remembered these rabbits. My sisters and I grew up out in the middle of nowhere so far out that our home address doesn't acknowledge the town we actually live in, it's actually the next town over that it has because that's where our mail comes from. Naturally, that means a lot of woods surrounding us to explore and get in trouble in. We have lots of little stories we could tell, like drenching ourselves in swamp water, the time my sister fell on a log and split open her knee, the deer skull we broke all the teeth off of, I'm feeling nostalgic just thinking about it! The rabbits are something my sister remembers a lot more clearly than I do. They were just like rabbits, you could barely catch a glimpse of them other than a fluffy blur darting away from you as fast as their jump legs could carry them. I remember one time I startled one so bad that it ran circles around me for at least two minutes before finally finding the mind to run AWAY from me. This one time my sister managed to see one that must not have quite seen her, at least not right away since it stared right toward her, finally giving her a good clear look at the bald heads we only caught quick glances of.
