One of the main critiques I got during my last portfolio review was that all my pieces were too gray, and I should try to paint in a higher key. Well, I figured I’d at least try to work on the color part, so this is an exercise in painting with a super saturated under painting and working up to the gray colors (but still allowing some saturation to come through). I was going to save this one to finish later, but I don’t really have the desire to anymore, I quite like it at this sketchy stage :3
