decided to make a species based on a sketch i haven’t finished yet. that sketch showing the corrupted second form of these little guys.
These are Cherubs, which are the larval form of my angels which look like this http://raven-blood-13.tumblr.com/po.....is-is-the-most . Particularly these are Cherubs that never made it past their larval stage and are essentially destined to stay forever in this baby form. Usually stunted cherubs have no noticeable markings and stay smaller than their siblings, becoming only a little larger than a soft ball. their floating necklaces also tend to be quite dull in design.
They’re gathered up and still cared for in a center dedicated to these little guys. They mostly just waddle and seek out heat and food, living mostly on a sugar water type substance. They’re very gentle and easily satisfied, usually making gentle mewling sounds at caretakers and visitors when they either want picked up or fed.
Most don’t seem to grow any more intelligent than a toddler, and those that do usually become corrupted and are cast out, labeled “Fallen Cherubs” Which I will talk about more when I finish the drawing for those.
Tried to use the ‘no pen pressure’ technique for painting these guys. doesn’t look that much different from my overall style, but it was an interesting process with how it felt. will try it again.
I think I’ll make these a type of Limbo creature’s, since I do plan on having “angels and demons” in limbo. though they’re not really biblical or anything, they’re mainly very organic beings with some otherworldly powers.
