"GEDDOFF! YOU'RE CRUSHING ME!"
"Well you should have thought of that before you decided to zap me. If you want me to get off, you just need to shrink me back down to normal."
"Ugg."
"You might want to do it soon, before you pass out."

Okay, cool last image up. So some real talk. Now that I've finished this, I'm happy with my first sequence, but also a bit disappointed. I draw slow so this took a while to do (started about a month ago). Since I didn't want to submit it until complete, I started losing steam by the end, so I kinda skipped doing a background and just did flat shading. I should have done both, but then it would have taken much longer. So that said, how do you keep motivated on larger art projects like sequences?

This was a delightful sequence to see. As for motivations it always helps me to work on art with the intention of improving before I work on any large scale project. That way even if I only get a small amount done on my project each day, I still feel like my skills have progressed just a tiny bit more.
This was definitely a great sequence, and the character interaction was delightful to see. I can't really give advice on the larger art projects, as I'm struggling with them a bit myself
I can, however, help with your question on the first page, about the comic navigation buttons

The syntax is on that page, under section 5: comic navigation links

Thank you very much!
Balloogabu also sent me instructions over a note, so thank you both for this. I've updated all the submissions with comic links. It was late last night when I submitted, and surprisingly searching the forums for "sequence" didn't yield much (I was so tired!), so getting the right link was super helpful.

Well...you reap what you sow. If you can't handle the weight of that...then best not do it.
This was a really well done sequence you made. The progress of the overall growth was very evenly paced; didn't feel rushed and didn't feel like it dragged in the least. You definitely did a nice job letting the characters show their personalities and reactions throughout without it feeling too corny or 'how every character would react' as some strips go. Your coloring in each of them was nicely applied and done as was the line work in each of them too. While you may not have added a background I found it didn't detract from the sequence, but hopefully next time if you do one you are able to do one or feel motivated to do one.
While I am not an artist, for me to keep motivated in writing something (big or small projects) I sometimes need several factors to keep me going on something. One thing is just personal desire and enjoyment in what I am creating. If I don't have my mind fully focused on it I find it harder to complete something. Secondly I am just a person who hates to leave unfinished projects so I tend to...kick my own butt to not cut corners since I kind of guilt myself in giving a lower quality than what I can actually produce. It's kind of an odd mental battle I have when making anything ^^;
