I find the way their fangs curl in really cute. And I never knew their feet were that blue-green, gorgeous!
If I wasnt such a pussy I would so have a tarantula. I'm not afraid of THEM but their sudden movements surprise me and make me jump xD And I'm afraid of getting bitten (even though lol, I have no fear of getting bit by snakes and its happend a few times)

It actually took me several weeks of having them to figure out that their feet were blue! I'm not sure if it just took them a few molts to get it or what (since I've had them since they were only about 1/2 an inch long) :)

I think the main reason I don't handle them is the fear of them escaping into the house, and then not knowing WHEN they could bite me or Josh or one of my rats. :x I am probably crazy for not really being that afraid of being bitten... these have the most potent venom of almost any other tarantula; their bite can cause nausea and dizziness and the bite wound can go black and lose all feeling around the area -forever-.

Wow, I'd say you're pretty brave to own them if that's the case! XD But I'm sure its well worth it, they're gorgeous! But aw yeah that would be awful if they got out x_x

and this picture actually grosses me out. There is no logic with me. I heard that if you handle tarantulas, sometimes they randomly jump from your hands, and if they hit tile, they just burst open. That is the real reason I will never own a tarantula. I'd be so traumatized forever.

I've seen wild tarantulas jump pretty far off the top of a hill onto concrete without bursting. X3

I used to live in Cuba... there was a decent size wild population of them.
