I think you are suffering from some of the same issues I had when I went up in canvas size. When you make an image that large, you tend to lose out on the attention to detail that pixel art benefits from. Try keeping yourself in the lower resolution range, so you can feasibly attempt detailed shading and texturing. Another critique might be to more directly define your light source. There appears to be a bit of pillow shading regarding the wings and tail. Looks great other than that. I love the positioning of the character, and the way that the various curves compliment each other. Keep up the good work!
