MFF12 - Talin Commission - FINAL
All copics on this one. No colored pencils at all. I've found that while pencil coloring can help blending, they can also add a graininess to the art that takes away some of the consistency.
In retrospect, there are ways where that can benefit and other ways that it can detract. I'll find a happy medium between the two one of these days. :)

You'll notice the date on my signature for this piece was 2013. I also was commissioned this piece, as is mentioned in the subject, back at MFF 2012.
While this is a similar character and color scheme, this is neither stolen nor influenced, since Mel's art was from 2014. I appreciate your looking out for her by wanting to point this out, and I know she would appreciate it as well. But, this is 100% pure coincidence.

Fair enough! :) Honestly, I'd probably do the same, if not point it out to her to give her the heads-up.
It's funny, I actually came across another artist who also did work for the guy that Frisket's piece was for. It seems he asks a lot of people to draw that character, which is nothing new, really.
The odd part is that it's not the same guy who asked me to draw this character, which is why she's wearing a different outfit. No hooded cloak, for instance. Beyond that, it's tough to really change the similarities all that much between vixens. : P The biggest different aside from the outfit being the jewel on her forehead in my piece. That, and the compound bow, I guess.
Either way, I do understand your reasoning. :) Thanks for being on the lookout for the artists you admire. :)
