The Sleipner Class Fast Frigate was created after the end of the Dilgar War as a fast moving strike vessel that could theoretically hold it's own while larger capital ships did the heavy hitting. The class is named for the old Norwegian navy Sleipner Class Corvette used in the 1960s'. Over 150 vessels of this class had been built and all have Scandinavian names. Half the vessels built would sadly be lost during the Earth-Minbari War.
