The Kaga Class Variant of the Hyperion was intended for fleet support. However, the design was a financial blunder, suffering from maneuvability problems, and insufficient power systems.  She was completed shortly after the Earth Civil War began, but she was mortally wounded just after leaving the moorings from the yard, which was attacked only 6 weeks after the war began. Only one other was built and saw service after the war.
